Spanish + History, Art or Literature in Granada & Guanajuato

The course

Sign up for a Spanish course and a History, Art or Literature course at our don Quijote schools in Granada and Guanajuato!

The course is geared towards students who are eager to extend their knowledge on the historical and cultural aspects of Spain and Latin America.  It is taught by university graduate, native Spanish-speaking professors who possess profound knowledge in the history, art and literature fields. All classes are held entirely in Spanish.

The course consists of 2 hours of daily Intensive Spanish and 2 hours of daily specialization history, art or literature classes. Specialization classes will focus on past historical events, important literary generations and their particular works, or art which are fundamental in providing the student a deep understanding of Spain and Latin America.

These courses are offered in 2 don Quijote destinations:

don Quijote Granada will focus on the history, art or literature OF SPAIN. The course will uncover the reality of present-day Spanish society by focusing on a series of important historical, artistic or literary units of the past. The thoroughness of these units will reinforce the students’ Spanish skills by enhancing listening comprehension and vocabulary.

don Quijote Guanajuato will focus on the history, art or literature OF MEXICO AND LATIN AMERICA. The objective of this course is not only to support the learning of the Spanish language, but also to learn the different cultural aspects of Latin America, in particular, that of Mexico. This course provides an in-depth analysis of the historical, literary, political and social aspects that are fundamental to understand the richness of Latin America.

Granada: 20 hours per week
Guanajuato: 20 hours per week + 10 weekly hours of independent study. The student receives 3 university credits at the end of the course.
